Line Section 3
This 4.29-mile segment is one of five that will comprise the future METRO light rail system. Line section 3 is to be constructed in the downtown Phoenix corridor and extends south from McDowell Road along Central/1st Avenues and east to 26th Street along Washington/Jefferson streets. Construction on Line Section 3 has begun and completion is slated for December 2007. METRO Rail is a non-profit, public corporation overseeing the design, construction and operation of the METRO light rail system. The entire 20 mile system is scheduled to open in late 2008.
